Take your Vivace or SkinPen treatment to the next level.
Enhance the regenerative effects of microneedling with growth factors from your own platelet-rich plasma.
Short for Platelet-Rich Plasma, PRP uses your own growth factors in that plasma to rebuild skin structure. Suitable for all skin types and complexions, microneedling with PRP is ideal for the treatment of acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles, dark circles under eyes, sun damage, and uneven skin tone and texture.
Platelet-Rich Plasma is an extract of your own blood that can naturally stimulate tissue to heal and repair itself. PRP has been used in the treatment of bony defects, wound healing, gastrointestinal surgery, and more recently in aesthetics. The treatment begins by drawing blood from the patient and then using a centrifuge to extract the platelet-rich plasma, which is applied to the skin during the treatment. Adding PRP turbo-charges microneedling treatments, helping to promote more immediate and more dramatic skin restoration.
PRP can be added to microneedling treatments for any part of the face or body. The most commonly-treated areas are the face, neck, hands, décolleté, arms, abdomen, back, and legs.
A small amount of your blood is drawn and processed in a centrifuge to isolate the most potent type of platelets. This can be spread over the skin after a microneedling or RF microneedling procedure.
Treatments typically take between 30 to 45 minutes. In general, we estimate 3 treatments at 4 to 6 week intervals. The amount needed can vary by person and will depend on the results you want.
You may experience redness of some swelling in the first 1 to 3 days. After your treatment, you will notice immediate results which will improve as the skin rebuilds itself from the inside out. To maximize results: For a minimum of 5 hours after the PRP has been applied to your skin, do NOT wash your skin, expose the treated area to direct high heat, or engage in activities that will get the skin wet or cause you to sweat (such as blow dryer, sun exposure, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, very hot shower, hot yoga, strenuous exercise, etc.)
