PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — North Palm Beach County businesses have put together a pandemic care package for a deserving mom as part of a contest.

“Mothers really are the ultimate caregivers and during quarantine they’ve been called on more than most and they take on so many things,” said Ellen Bauer, owner of the Wellness Jar.

“Moms have been wearing every single hat. I’ve gone from teacher to principal to therapist…It’s like I’ve gone across the board,” said Therapist Jennifer Tomko.

With everything moms are doing, North County business owners wanted to do something for them.

“We just got together and said we all have to do something. So this is our way to give back to mom,” said Erik Pettersen, the chef at Evo Italian.

Evo Italian, Clarity Health Solutions, and Wellness Jar have put together a pandemic care package for one local struggling mom. It will include home-delivered dinner.

“I’m going to personal prepare and deliver a meal to her and the family,” said Pettersen.

The lucky mom will will an hour at a spa and an hour of therapy.

“One hour in our unique and amazing pure air bubble as well as an immunity iv,” said Bauer.

“It’s very over stimulating and exhausting and overwhelming. Having this opportunity to take a break and take a breath is essential to our mental health,” said Tomko.

People can submit a photo and description of the mom they think should win on Wellness Jar’s Facebook.
