Our Medical Director
A native Floridian, Dr. Daniel L. Kapp is one of the most well-regarded board-certified plastic surgeons in South Florida. Dr. Kapp has served as a clinical instructor in both plastic and general surgery, Chief of Surgery at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, chairman of numerous medical committees. He is an invited speaker at many regional and national meetings and was instrumental in the development of new plastic surgery and medical devices. His many accolades are matched only by his proven record of helping patients to achieve a diverse set of aesthetic goals. Today, Dr. Kapp has a private practice in West Palm Beach, is affiliated with several top area hospitals, and serves as the Medical Director for Wellness Jar Medical Spa.

Our Team

Meet our fearless leader, Ellen Bauer. Ellen brings over 25 years of experience working in a series of fast-paced, high-tech, international roles. She loved every minute of her crazy work-life but realized that fast pace and excessive time on airplanes was starting to take its toll. Most notably, it started to accelerate the aging process. That realization fueled the drive and desire to start her own business and to focus on concepts that centered around the impacts of aging. This quickly translated into a clear vision – Wellness Jar Medical Spa. Ellen is an owner, but she also wears many hats. She is our CEO, CMO, CFO and, sometimes, our receptionist. We adore Ellen and are so grateful that she is not only a part but the leader of our Wellness Jar family.

Meet our secret sauce(y) leader, Teresa Raich. Teresa is our Chief Creative Officer. She is equal parts entrepreneur, designer, and nurturing dynamo. When designing the Wellness Jar space, Teresa was hyper-focused on the patient experience both from an aesthetic feel and functional practicalities. The elegant, timeless sensibility that she brought to life for Wellness Jar is what makes so many patients say, “I just want to live here!”. Teresa and her husband have made several start-up businesses become successful over the years, but her proudest experience and “production” is by far her six children. This experience also reinforced her natural tendency to be incredibly caring and empathetic, always seeing multiple perspectives and putting anyone she interacts with at ease. Part of the vision of Wellness Jar is to ensure every patient who walks through our door feels like they are the center of the universe – Teresa is the driving force that helps make that a reality.

Meet Michelle Mowry, our Nurse Practioner. When we ask patients to describe Michelle, the word we most hear is AWESOME. Michelle is a board-certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practioner (ARNP) with over ten years of experience in aesthetics medicine. She received medical training from Johns Hopkins University has a master’s degree and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. But, her awesomeness is only partially rooted in that impressive training and experience. She also brings a critical artistic talent and a massive nurturing heart that, when blended all together, produces lasting results and lasting relationships with her patients. We are thrilled to have Michelle as a part of the Wellness Jar family!

Meet Jessica Levenson, our CoolSculpting Specialist. Jess is a licensed aesthetician who has been in the aesthetics world for 10+ years. Her very first job at 15 was as a skincare consultant for a small skincare boutique. She graduated from California State University with a Bachelor’s in Sociology, got recruited by L’Oreal, where she advanced quickly and received multiple achievement awards, then later shifted her career to more hands-on roles. Then, she graduated from Advance Beauty College and holds certifications in CoolSculpting, HydraFacial, Dermaplaning and all types of facials. In 2019, Jess attended CoolSculpting University to take her skills in body sculpting to the next level. She is a recent transplant to sunny Florida from sunny California and now holds a Cosmetology license in both states. She brings a wonderful combination of artistry, passion, and a thirst for knowledge. In fact, passionate may not be a strong enough adjective for how Jess feels about CoolSculpting and about her sense of responsibility to truly understand how each patient sees themself and how they want to see themself. We are thrilled to have Jess as a part of the Wellness Jar family!

Meet Vanessa Gil, our Skincare Specialist. Vanessa brings over 20 years of experience as a licensed aesthetician in the state of Florida. Her passion for skincare started at a young age when she watched her mother advise women as a Mary Kay beauty consultant. She loved seeing the trust the women had in her mother and the joy they showed when they saw results. Skincare has come a long way since then and so has Vanessa. Vanessa received her education from Lia Schorr Institute of Cosmetic Skin Care Training and today she is an active member of the Esthetics Association Florida. Her passion and results-driven approach led her to constantly seek new skills and certifications including CoolSculpting, HydraFacial dermaplaning, chemical peels, microneedling, ZO Skin Health, and much more. Her hands-on experience includes working with many local dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and med spas in the area. These experiences led her to now also be pursuing a nursing degree to bring even more depth to her already impressive capabilities and passion for aesthetics and wellness. We are thrilled to have Vanessa as a part of the Wellness Jar family!

Front Desk Policy
To ensure you and other patients will enjoy a tranquil experience we kindly ask that you refrain from phone conversations and loud noises that may disrupt others.
New Patients
For new patients, we will schedule 10 minutes into your appointment to allow time for completing consent forms, other paperwork, etc. Due to COVID-19 precautions, we will complete all forms for check in and check out inside of treatment rooms.
Patient Arrival
Due to COVID-19 precautions, we kindly ask that you call from your car upon arrival and we will let you know when to come in so that we can escort you directly to your room and avoid contact with any other patients. We will complete all forms for check in and check out inside of treatment rooms.
Late Arrival Policy
While we will make every effort to perform your entire treatment, patients that arrive late to their appointment by 15 minutes or more may be asked to reschedule or change their original service request to another service offering. If the appointment is not rescheduled it may be subject to a cancellation fee (see cancellation policy).
Cancellation Policy
We understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to an emergency, however when you do not call to cancel an appointment you may be preventing another patient from getting a treatment. Conversely, when another patient fails to cancel we may be able to schedule you for a treatment. This is why we have a 48-hour cancellation policy on CoolSculpting and CoolTone appointments and 24 hour-cancellation policy on all other appointments. Late cancellations are subject to $50 fee or 50% of the service value, whichever is greater. Missed appointments are charged at full value.
Services Refund Policy
While we make every effort to make our patients as happy as possible, all service sales are final. Any used or unused appointments/sessions will not be refunded.
Gift Cards
Gift Cards must be present at time of purchase/usage. Lost or stolen Gift Cards cannot be redeemed or replaced. All sales are final. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash.
Product Return Policy
We recognize that sometimes your skin might not react as expected to a new product. If you have received a skincare consultation or treatment from us, we welcome your slightly used product as a return if it did not work for you. You may choose another product or get a full refund in the form of credit. Cash back is not available. However, if you have not received a treatment or consultation from us, we are sorry to say that we unable to accept any returns (used or unused).
